Recently sold on ebay. This frame has half chrome forks and quarter chain and seat stays. A re-finish from the accompanying photo. It is a slightly unusual frame as crimped chainstays were not a common feature we know to feature in normal builds. Uses Cinelli style fork crown he favoured at the time with Zeus Competition dropouts and pierced Prugnat lugs of his better frames. This one has straight reinforced brake bridge and straight chainstay bridge, a cantilever bridge and pegs and a full array of front lamp brackets for international touring as well as pannier fixing points.
The pre-refinish photo shows name transfers I have not seen before and it is impossible without corroboration to say whether or not they were Major’s. Make your own mind up about the re-finish on this nice custom frame. The full wrapover large seat panels deserve his signature double fishtails.
